TTC announced that the hours of operation for Line 5 are now extended, and in addition the trains are now running at a full 80kph top speed in the tunnels, and the underground station speed limits were also increased from 30kph to 45kph.

Many months late but I did a pilgrimage to the Line 6 Finch West LRT.
Rode from Finch West to Humber and back (with a stop at Plaza Latina)
I liked the train, comfortable and mostly smooth.
But after Chow announcement that signal priority was active… I wonder if they had to roll it back? We had to stop at almost half the red lights. This line would be amazing if only it wasn’t stopping all-the-time.
A very strong argument from @moretransitso that any westward extension of Line 4 should cross Downsview before development to save money and to create more transit ridership and enable future GO connections too:
