Nice to be in proper daylight for this morning's commute, but I still haven't risked getting my knees out, and the idea of switching to mitts instead of the winter gloves seems like a distant dream.

Urban cyclists of Ireland:

Any recommendations for route planning apps?

Especially ones that allow you to see options for:

1. Protected cycle lanes
2. Quiet streets / bus lanes
3. Minimise hills (I'm in Cork, so this matters more as a feature than it would in Dublin).

If it is a paid app, ideally I would prefer if it had a free trial period so I could test if it works for me.

The Cycle to Work scheme may be up for reform at the Autumn Budget.

The chancellor would do well to take a measured approach here, because C2W is now 25% of all retail sales. A blunt force strike could easily do more harm than good.

Yesterday's Demo Day gave me plenty of opportunity to ride some #ebikes I've wanted to try for a while. With that, here's a first ride review of the FLIT M2 folding bike, a 16-inch wheeled bike that packs down incredibly small, so is a great fit for apartment living and office work.
