Agi: Crans Montana. Il responsabile della sicurezza: "Eseguivo le direttive dei superiori"

AGI - L’attuale responsabile della sicurezza del Comune di Crans Montana, Baptiste Cotter, “ha risposto alle domande dei pm ma non a quelle degli avvocati, la sua è quindi una collaborazione a metà. Ha detto di essere arrivato solo nel 2024 e di avere svolto il suo compito facendo quello che gli chiedevano di fare senza avere il quadro generale della situazione”. Lo ha riferito all’AGI l’avvocato Fabrizio Ventimiglia presente all’interrogatorio a Sion di Cotter che è indagato per omicidio, lesioni e incendio, tutte ipotesi di reato a titolo colposo, nell’inchiesta sull’incendio al Le Constellation.

“L’indagato ha spiegato di non sapere dei ritardi nei controlli e ha ‘scaricato’ sul suo superiore che a questo punto chiederemo ai magistrati di sentire” ha aggiunto l’avvocato italiano che assiste come parte civile una ragazza rimasta gravemente ferita nell’incendio di Capodanno in cui persero la vita 41 persone.
Il sequestro dei cellulari
I telefoni cellulari di Baptiste Cotter e Rudy Tissiéres, rispettivamente attuale ed ex responsabile alla sicurezza del Comune di Crans Montana, sono stati sequestrati dalla Procura Vallese. Lo riferisce all’AGI una fonte legale. I due sono indagati per omicidio, lesioni e incendio a titolo colposo nell’indagine della magistratura vallese sul rogo al ‘Le Constellation’.

Entrambi, secondo quanto riferito da chi era presente ai loro interrogatori, hanno scaricato le responsabilità su eventuali lacune nella gestione della sicurezza nel territorio comunale, locali compresi, sui loro superiori.

“The suspect explained that he was unaware of delays in the checks and ‘passed the buck’ to his superior, which we will now ask the magistrates to hear,” added the Italian lawyer who is assisting as a private party a girl who was seriously injured in the New Year’s Eve fire in which 41 people died.
Seizure of cell phones
The cell phones of Baptiste Cotter and Rudy Tissières, respectively the current and former head of security for the Municipality of Crans Montana, have been seized by the Valais Prosecutor’s Office. This was reported to AGI by a legal source. The two are being investigated for homicide, injuries, and arson in a negligent manner in the Valais judicial investigation into the fire at ‘Le Constellation’.

Both, according to those who were present at their interrogations, passed the responsibility to any gaps in the management of security in the municipal territory, including local areas, to their superiors.

I've been doing a lot of gravel-riding lately, in preparation for a competitive ride this coming weekend.

Unfortunately I've been struck down with COVID and won't be going but it's given me some time to reflect on the rides I've done.

Canberra is very bike-friendly for all types of riding and gravel options are plentiful.

The Cotter Dam is pretty well-known, not only is it very close to the City, but also its primary water source.

I've visited the wall and the nearby park many times but never seen the actual water behind the dam wall.
That's partly because the roads and tracks that go near it are dirt. This route was suggested by Strava and was great fun.

Some very rough, difficult terrain is mixed with long, smooth gravel sections, big climbs and even a river crossing!

The great thing about gravel riding is how remote it all feels. We didn't see anything other than kangaroos and birds for over three hours.

So, I'll not remember this missed opportunity but the rides of the last few weeks that have expanded my horizons and I look forward to more exploring.
