Wild oyster fishers are halfway through their spring season and some are ready to give up, saying the oysters are almost gone in the rivers they fish. Even though the situation is bleak, many fishers are not interested in a buyback package announced by the federal government. CBC’s Nancy Russell has more from the Brudenell River.

Wild oyster fishers travelling far to make a living this spring
The spring season is underway for wild oyster fishers on P.E.I., but it's a challenging one for many. Two diseases that kill oysters have taken a toll on rivers in the western part of the island, so many fishermen are travelling hours to eastern P.E.I. Nancy Russell reports.
