Today the humans were on #hedgewatch in #Bamberg the hometown of the famous Tomcat Murr. They visited again this wooden floor at the #Rosengarten because it #rocks 😹 It looks like #ColumnarJoints as you can find in #basalt.

Simbalito on #GrandTour in #Iceland. During our #hike/#hedgewatch yesterday we visited also the #Studlagil #canyon with huge #columnarjoints & a powerful river. The columnar joints form when the #lava cools slowly. They are perpendicular to the cooling front.
