Simbalito on #GrandTour in #Iceland. Today we start in #Skaftafell #NationalPark. We started our #hike/#hedgewatch very early because the #Svartifoss #waterfall is a famous tourist attraction. Look the water flows abz #columnarjoints made of #basalt.

As a photographer I love travelling and seeing new things, here you can see what I saw when I first visited #Svartifoss in the #Skaftafell national park which is located in the #Vatnajökull area.
It takes about 30-60 minutes to walk there depending on your stamina and speed, I took a well-manageable 60 myself and was able to breathe (easily) the whole time.

The descent was a bit tricky, because the path was hidden under ice and snow. We ended up in an area that was so steep, that loose snow tumbled down and fell off a cliff, so we decided to backtrack the upper part of the trail before rejoining the loop further down... better safe than sorry 😮‍💨

We did, however, catch a splendid sunset just before arriving back at the car!
