Today I found out that Microsoft made a promotional campaign for Office XP about how the Office Assistant would no longer be necessary because the program was more "easy to use" than ever. They made animations and a song about Clippy being unemployed (and wanting to return), thought he was just off by default. This is one of the images from the official website:

Shottr, a macOS screenshooting application I use all the time while working, randomly put #Clippit, the MS Office paper clip, on top of the screenshot window with a request to buy the application.

I was genuinely both surprised and thoroughly amused by this and proceeded to immediately purchase the Friends Club license.

#Shottr is a good app. Free to use. Makes it really easy to make and drag screenshots into mail, teams and more. Very much recommended.
