I really enjoyed the Corridor Crew’s latest video. It’s about how the LOTR crew were able to do forced-perspective shots with a moving camera, something that was previously believed impossible. But the video is much more than that — it gets into the tension and partnership between practical and VFX, the idiotic trend of people in the film industry making bullshit claims that certain movies have no VFX, and ends up with a lovely show of community and a heartfelt ending.

#LOTR (via other people):
Gandalf
Aragorn
Frodo
Pippin (though my ex said Boromir)

#Psychology edition:
Leon Festinger
B.F. Skinner
Abraham Maslow
Sigmund Freud

Recognizing that Freud wasn't even a psychologist, but he did have a big influence on American and European psychology at a time when the American Psychological Association was excoriating any psychologist who dared apply psychology in any way.

Gracias.

Q: What Is The Oldest Town Or City In Middle-earth?

ANSWER: This is a variation of a question I recently saw on social media. I’m not sure there is a good answer as Middle-earth – being essentially a fictional or mythological representation of our real world – has its own rules. For example, despite numerous migration events, you have essentially the same ethnic groups dwelling in the […]

The guys at Corridor Crew recreate... well, it's sort-of in the title.

Also, at the same time, a lot about how knowledge & inspiration grows & how easily it can be lost - or worse, be destroyed by people who don't know how the things work that they're making money on.
