Currently the star of the TV series “The Goldbergs”, George Segal (b. 1934) has been one of America’s most productive and most talented leading men for more than fifty years now. If you take a look…
One of the great subtleties of CALIFORNIA SPLIT is how Elliott Gould's authenticity is tied into the ability to size people up. I'm still thinking about this scene. And I'm just going to watch Elliott Gould in full high-octane conversational mode if I ever feel my need to resist wane in any way.
Watching CALIFORNIA SPLIT with a dear friend on the big screen was a great way to spend today. Elliott Gould's conversational wit-driven energy. The badass way he negotiates with a guy robbing him at gunpoint and STILL walks away with half the cash. The moment in which he rises from a grimy restroom floor after being viciously punched, not complaining, STILL cracking jokes. Who knew that Gould provided some deeply inspirational methods of fighting fascism? 🤣🤣
