So let's keep score:
- Multiple emails in the last week teying to change various passwords
- Brute force attacks on my website
- False mass reporting on YouTube, resulting in a 7 day ban
- False reports on my Goodreads account, resulting in an apparent permanent lifetime ban, no examples of ToS violations cited
This was a result of the coordinated DNC group chat harassment and defamation campaign orchestrated by Amanda Nelson and (possibly) Aaron Parnas. Blue MAGA attacking progressives.
Wow, I was just banned from Goodreads without any warning. Some nonsense about violating the ToS without anything specific. It looks like the tech gods are trying to censor me. I offered good faith reviews on all of these titles. Perhaps it has something to do with publishing Modern Library essays recently? Just wild. 🤣🤣
Does anybody remember the marvelous David Markson? Probably not. Ran into him at the Strand a dozen times. I shamed the New York Times into running an obituary so he would be properly written about and remembered. I suspect that when I die, nobody will ever remember him. But he was a great hero to me, symbolizing everything I thought literary New York was when I moved here. Of course, even an approximation of that world (think Michael Seidenberg) is now dead.
FOR ALL.MANKIND S5E4 "Open Source" thoughts:
- A slight return to form after a lumbering start
- Alex is turning into a promising hero
- Avery suffers from the same Danny problems, intensity and motivation feels contrived
- The Helios reveal suggests thoughtful arc of capitalism vs. exploration: good!
- Dev's Mars plans recall Albert Speer
- Expositional dialogue is clunky: come on! Trust the audience's intelligence!
- Pace still too slow, but improved from previous three eps

I feared that American influence would prove to be this pernicious. This is why I'm so feisty against status quo neoliberal types who continue to stump for mediocrity. Which means, of course, being adamantly against work-life balance.
