I'm nearly 200 pages into Isabella Hammad's THE PARISIAN. And this young woman has extraordinary literary talent. Not only is she wise beyond her years, but she is somehow casual with her narrative ambition. The tale of Mithad in this wonderful novel, despite taking place more than a century ago, could be the tale of ANY Palestinian today fighting for dignity. And that is the sad and poignant timelessness of the tale.
There are three things that you will NEVER see from white supremacist Aaron Parnas:
1. Aaron Parnas acknowledging and condemning the Israeli genocide of Palestinians.
2. Aaron Parnas speaking out when his followers express racism towards a Black creator.

America is crumbling. Tonight, when I ordered the car service tonight that my employer provides, the dispatcher was in tears. It felt utterly callous to not address this. So I asked if he was going to be okay, offered to listen to him, and told him that I had nothing but plaudits for him. The man had apparently been bullied by a coworker and was trying to power through like so many of us.
Everyone is on edge. Be kind. Trump needs to be gone. Because a lot of people aren't going to make it.
