My portal painting that gave me the courage to lift on up out of Utah as I walked down a fairly permanent corridor to Thailand. The painting was stitched with golden threads, each feather made from sewing pattern paper, the roles of my life already fulfilled written carefully. And then we burned it!

I found more good things today

1- I just heard the third remix of my song Lotus and it's so divine and hard hitting and so perfectly *this* producer. And I have two more already loaded from producers here on fedi, and they are both so perfectly *them* and my joy keeps rising from what has been quietly making for the past several months. I can't wait to share it but there are are two more that I'm waiting on and I believe it will be worth the wait.

2- I have had the rare and kind opportunity of immigrating to Thailand from America. I kiss this ground, this kingdom, this land. Every day gratitude.

3- tonight while walking, masked, through a very large night market I hear, พี่เหล็ก this is my name so I turn to see a young gal whose family often feeds me. She had spotted me, masked, through a crowd of a hundred people and she greeted me, called me out just to say hello.

Doing my best to recognize the good when I experience it:

1- the delightful feeling of motorbiking on a sunny day, wind in my hair, passing a body of water, the breeze cools all around us.

2- appreciating the people here who are calling out bullshit and lifting up those that are struggling. If ever there was a week I want to quit fedi, it's this week. Please be kind.

3- meditating with Buddha at my favorite temple I hear the sound of someone imitating the birds calling around us. I peek to see a young father, restless baby in his arms. He is calming her by simply holding her, walking gently, listening to the environment and responding with his own calls, teaching his daughter the language of birds, birds calling to let us know it's safe here, no predators around.

This Lucky cat chose us when we started baking, peering through screened doors and windows while we mix and bake, perhaps stealing recipes and a little dough. Now, she just pushes the screen open and jumps through the window. 1-my cat Lucky was yowling away and I looked at her and said, what's the matter? Come here! She listened and ran into my arms, let me hold her like a baby, and began purring and calming with every little touch I offered. I may not be able to calm the world, but I can calm myself and my cat, and that's good.

2- a couple days off from baking, and I'm already dreaming up new cookie flavors, dark chocolate mango coming soon!

3- almost have all of the tracks for an edm mantra remix album, featuring several mastodonites. Very excited to hear their different takes on my vocal arrangement. Very excited to share once we find someone that can master these tracks.

The only word I can think of in English that is a place based pronoun is y'all. When we see that word, y'all, it brings our minds to American South, the drawl of living far apart, calling cows, wind across crops, straw hats and iced tea. Jou is like this, a long oooouuuu that centers the mind in the North of Thailand. Come back y'all, jou.

To add to this:

I learned a place centered pronoun in Thailand! จ้า or Jou is how sentences are ended in the North of Thailand. This matters so much to me because while Ka and Krub indicate personal gender, Jou is only used in the North so when I use it as my sentence closer in central Thailand the word itself brings people to their knowledge of that place: a land of magical mountains and prolific abundance, where the tempo is slower and people are more oriented to the cirrcadian rhythms of life. All major produce comes from the North of Thailand, we eat from the land where Jou is natural. Jou has a long vowel that vibrates the ears of those that hear and with a smile they slow their tempo at it's sound.
