Starting in April, the built-in Alexa shopping list can no longer be shared from the app with other apps, such as a simple IM app like Telegram or WhatsApp. I guess ANY other list too. Why? Because such sharing now works only via your family nucleus.
Of course, that's to maximize knowledge about users and transform a simple user into an ecosystem of customers.

Many people are discovering that their tech employer has newly strong opinions about what constitutes a cost center, and that they are one. I've long argued that if you're not selling things to customers for more than they cost, you're a cost center. Now, tech companies generally fight me on this, and engineers in particular, arguing that without engineering there is nothing to sell. This is true, but infinite recursion lurks: Without finance, there is no engineering. Without hr, etc.
I was probably just not made for politics. Scale-up companies and #BigCo are great for those who excel at politics.
