Yesterday I was suddenly fired. Not a RIF. No PIP. All signals pointed in the opposite direction. "Your skills are no longer needed" just out of the fucking blue.

Last night I had the first nightmare I've had in well over a year, if not more. This is the 11th time I have been kicked from a company. And that's the part that's hitting me the hardest.

Just trying to convince myself that I am making any amount of progress on my long term project, and I think I'm far enough to start mixing in some of the main characters (who I will give proper introductions to when I am furthur along).

Every hustle culture game dev influencer has warned me that if I am not asset flipping I am wasting my time, I just hope that someone out there will apreciate that I'm burning my life energy trying to make something with soul even if the project never finds investors or collaborators and I end up working alone for 4-9 years (something which I am prepared to do even if it kills me).

the game is most likely going to be a #jrpg -like inspired by chrono cross though I'm not in a rush to rigidly define the project just yet.
