It’s so true: they - kookaburras - are proficient food thieves & will steal the food right out of your mouth if you don’t get all of it in there fast enough. Seen it happen. Each party got half that sausage. And then, as you say - queue tears. 😭
The thing is, they’re such an attractive bird: attractive to look at, great laugh, pretty feathers, colour scheme etc. that you’re lulled into admiring them… and that’s when they strike. 😆

Have wandered down to the Lagoon to check on the birds (yep, still there), and we'll likely walk to the pub for dinner tonight, because we'll be home tomorrow and I can't be arsed cooking.
