I see some confusion about moderation and appviews.
Of course switching your appview wont make you exempt from moderation on other appviews. This isnt different from fedi — if my instance (funtimes.masto) blocks yours (nastytro.lls), I can't view your posts no matter what you do.
Now, if I switch instances, (or in atproto's case, appviews), then I can see your posts again.
The only difference is that switching appviews on atproto is as easy as logging out of the old one (optional) and logging into the new one.
The only sad part is virtually everyone uses api.bsky.app/bsky.social, unlike fedi which has many, many instances. At the very least self-hosted PDSes aren't that uncommon these days
