HHS Committee advanced LB574 to General File. It will ban gender affirming care for minors and punish doctors for providing this life-saving care, or even for providing a referral for care.

This directly affects my family. I will keep fighting but I am mad af right now, and also feeling so defeated. 😭

The Idaho state House has passed a bill that would criminalize gender-affirming healthcare for transgender children and teens β€” joining several other U.S. states that have enacted or introduced similar legislation. The bill makes it a felony punishable with life in prison for a doctor to provide the medically-necessary care, which includes surgeries and hormone treatments.
