Just had a wonderful, enriching conversation with another independent scholar in ecocriticism, and she mentioned that while she had looked for Canadian alt-ac or independent scholarly networks, she hadn't been able to find any.

I was recently invited to submit work to the biennial conference of The Association for the Study of Literature and Environment (#ASLE). I had never heard of this organization! The conference sounds amazing, with writing workshops and field trips to natural areas around College Park, and talks about the intersections between various arts and the climate. https://www.asle.org/
