Aral Sea is disappearing — it is unleashing a toxic dust storm crisis across Central Asia

New research shows the dried Aral Sea region is rising due to Earths mantle, adjusting to lose water weight. The man-made environmental disaster has also led to the creation of the toxic Aralkum Desert, increasing hazardous dust levels and altering climate patterns in Central Asia. Scientists warn of long-term consequences for regional ecosystems and global climate systems.

@alda OFC Franchise models and their subsequent infrastructure are as complex as brands in general.

I.e. a lot of brands are only used in the #USA (or #Europe) due to "#brand value" (i.e. noone here knows #Texaco / #Chevron unless they saw it in #US media or in person elsewhere!)

For example, #bp canceled their own brand in favour of using #ARAL for gas stations in #Germany, and #ORLEN also operates a 2nd brand, #star.

To add more confusion, both ARAL/bp and Shell in Germany get their gasoline and Diesel from the exact same refinery, and merely have minor changes in mixture done for them.

Aral zeigt Flagge?
Der hiesige Tankstellenbetreiber hat eine Woche vor der Bundestagswahl 2025 seine brennende Liebe zur BRD entdeckt und die passende Flagge dazu aufgehängt. Einen Tag vor der Wahl kam noch eine USA-Flagge dazu - kurz nach den eklatanten Äußerungen von Vance und Trump. Ob #Aral und #Rewe solche Publicity so toll finden? Ich tanke jedenfalls dort nicht mehr, auch wenn deren Ladesäule für uns die nähste ist.
