On Monday, Marysville Police charged Micaiah Immanuel Swindler, 27, of Marysville, with one count of murder, a felony of the first degree. The victim was identified as the suspect’s father. The charge stems from an incident that occurred at 1482 Meadowlark Lane Monday afternoon when law enforcement received a call that a stabbing had occurred. When officers arrived on-scene, they located Swindler and one other male, the victim, deceased from apparent stab wounds. No other people were in the home. “I’m not going to lie, I just killed my father,” Swindler told dispatchers on the 911 recording. “I killed my dad.” Swindler In the call, Swindler told the dispatcher that he attacked his father with a knife and that God told him to do it. “I had orders,” Swindler said. Dispatchers received the call at approximately 12:34 p.m., Monday. Detectives from the Marysville Police Division’s Investigations Bureau responded to the scene to begin the initial investigation, along with members of the Union County Coroner’s Office and the Union County Prosecuting Attorney, David Phillips.
