February 2025 I bought a Yashica-12 TLR - a rare old analog twin lens reflex from 1967 - as a possible replacement for another TLR I already got. But soon after receiving it—even before shooting my first film—the camera broke down. That's why the previous owner had already had it repaired several times.
After reading up on it, and since I had nothing to lose anyway, I started by repairing the shutter. I succeeded, and the first test was successful. Then I tackled the film transport, which had also malfunctioned for the previous owner. Thanks to two gentlemen in a photography forum, I was able to find the fault. Today, I realized that the focus wasn't right during the first test, so I adjusted the viewing lens focus after checking the focus of the taking lens.

Now everything should really work again. All this tinkering was a nice change from the mental work of teaching at the nursing school.
