Let's do this.

I've been reading about what really helped people who had problems with "AI Psychosis" and one tip jumped out at me:

Open a second window and tell it exactly the opposite of each thing you say.

This helps to expose the sycophancy and shatters the illusion of sincerity and humanity.

Thought it was worth sharing. And frankly, it's exactly such an exercise that made me disgusted with the tech. "It just says ANYTHING is wonderful and genius. I'm not special."

I've been out of the loop for a couple of years on Linux phones. I'm poking around on blogs and Mastodon posts, but I figured I'd just ask:

Whats currently (as of January 2026) the most functional, stable, boring phone + OS combination?

Edit: I have been so thrilled with the conversations! Thank you all for sharing projects, experiences, knowledge, and links! I'm also following a lot of new folks :) This post is at 400+ boosts, so no need to continue boosting :)

"There's no way you wrote this yourself, you must have used ChatGPT" is the new "there's no way you wrote this yourself, your husband must have helped you."

Happy New Year! As of January 1, 2026, all ACM publications and related artifacts in the ACM Digital Library are now open access, making computing research more accessible, discoverable, and reusable worldwide.

“This is a truly monumental milestone,” said ACM President Yannis Ioannidis, marking a new era for the global computing community.

I didn't transition to become a girl. I transitioned because I am a girl

who is also a 5th dimensional being with 4th dimensional flames for eyes and accepts tithes in honor of my beauty and wrath and who was once part of all, fractured into the universe, gathered like a handful of ash, gathered without regard to my self-determination, and this I am self-assembled, and will one day fracture and gather again in my own self-imposed samsara until the moments when we can once again gather at the center of existence in an embrace outside of time before we fracture again.

I wish cis people could understand this is why we transition.

The years may get worse, but that doesn't mean you can't still get better.
You are enough
So, I got tired of non-Lispers finding it difficult to build my software and ended up making my own build tool. Introducing Reika, the opinionated minimal dependency manager and build initiator, made primarily for Common Lisp programs (but it theoretically could work for other languages, too). https://fossil.cyberia9.org/reika/ It's just at v0.0.3, so expect it to be a bit fragile and evolve as it matures. There's a FAQ, some basic instructions, and a link to the manual on the main page.

I've already got
#benben and XQATool working with it in their repos (Benben on the initial-1.0-work branch, XQATool on the trunk). Their next releases will use it exclusively. Users should be able to just run reika build and get a binary with this after installing SBCL and a few C dependencies from their distro's repositories. No messing with ASDF, Quicklisp, cloning Common Lisp dependencies, or the Lisp REPL.

New to Mastodon, I run a webzine called Barstool Revolution. I post songs every week so let's see if anyone out here can see this.
