I got to see #Fishbone and #DeadPioneers last night. It was lots of good and a little bad. The good was the bands and the music and the nutso Colorado fans, of course. Fishbone played the songs from their 40-year old first LP, In Your Face, and that was so good. DP played 3 (I think) songs from their new release (due out in June).
The bad was DP was missing their lead guitarist, Abe, as he's on tour with RKL. Josh Brennan did a really solid job though covering for him; it was just not as heavy as when they have 2 guitars.
And, Fishbone's sound people and videographer were hovering around the stage the whole time and also couldn't seem to fix numerous hum and feedback issues. Kinda spoiled what would otherwise have been a great experience.
Hate to complain though, they're both legendary groups.
Bite me Bambi (from CA) opened and were solid ska/punk ala No Doubt.
