I have a #question on having an own #instance.
If I post something here at mastodon.gamedev.place, it is very likely that somebody will see it and even respond to it. On my island instance on the other hand my posts are very isolated. Are there any strategies to deal with it?
I could think of having a second account on a bigger instance which is used to boost the toots but I'm not sure if this is discouraged.
Bevy 0.9 is out now!
It features HDR post processing, bloom, FXAA, deband dithering, a new scene format, nicer entity creation APIs, time in shaders, plugin settings, UI z-indices, enum reflection, better exclusive systems, and more!
My Mastodon take:
I’m using Metatext for an iOS client. Tried a bunch and it’s the most functional (and frankly most Twitter-like).
Try to remember that this is like EARLY Twitter … so: add hashtags, do stuff like #FollowFriday, boost things worth seeing, manual RT/quote if needed. #mastotips
This is a game I made for the first Bevy Game Jam: "Super Unfair Multiball Pong". The topic was "Unfair disadvantage". It's basically pong but your paddle is much smaller. But on the other side, your paddle gets charged every time you hit the ball which allows you to produce a shock wave by pressing D.
If you're bored you can play it at https://neosam.itch.io/super-unfair-pong-bevy-jam1
But be warned, it can be frustrating at first.
After three years it's time to introduce myself. I am a software developer from Germany and professionally I work primarily in Java Enterprise and Typescript. Privately, however, I prefer to deal with something else, such as #rust and #bevyengine.
