I would suggest you to check some software engineering topics such as software architecture and design patterns.
Very broadly speaking, there are 3 topics you need to know when coding: 1) programming languages (you already covered that) 2) algorithms (know how to decompose tasks into simple steps) 3) software engineering (how to create and connect components).
@EvilCartyen
Does Matrix has support for video calls? if it does, is the quality any good, in let's say, the main matrix.org instance?
I still rely a lot in Messenger's audio and video calls and weirdly enough, for whatever reason, I find the quality better than in Whatsapp (even if they both belong to Meta).
@vencabot
I had a similar experience.
When using a desktop, I like browsing the fediverse using antennas and the deck but I'd also like merging multiple antennas into a single column just to get sometimes a bit of everything.
I also felt there is no much activity as firefish.social is quite small compared to mastodon.social.
For someone mostly following hashtags (like me), belonging to a big instance is primordial as it's the only way I will get to see content by following hashtags.
@retrodev
I know the reference of that image.
It's from Anton's #opengl 4 tutorials.

I bought the epub book. I totally recommend it!
@JanaDelBosco
I've also read many people prasing #Firefish about how easy is to transfer accounts compared to #Mastodon
I'm trying both in parallel but I have also found many issues with Firefish:
- Although I'm in its main instance, I get to see way less activity in general (compared to mastodon.social)
- They don't have yet a proper Android app
- The web interface, although nicer than Mastodon, it's quite buggy and many times not responsive
I'm confident these issues (in both) will be solved with time.
