Dear #IDMastodon,
I compiled a list of folks in ID to make it easy to find one another:
https://followlists.online/list/54f6c2c1-0809-e89d-f0b7-1ae332899ba7
If you work in infectious diseases (broadly speaking) and would like to be included, please let me know.
Alternatively, if you DO NOT want these details shared, please let me know & I will remove.
The list (in whole or in part) can be exported (CSV). In
, go to Pref > Import & Export > Import > Follower List ("merge" should be selected), upload CSV file

For Twitter folks who are brand new to Mastodon
Few pointers from a veteran of <checks notes> 2 weeks:
1️⃣ BOOST generously: If you see a Toot you like & want others to see it, boost (RT) it. Unlike Twitter, liking it does nothing for visibility
2️⃣ HASHTAGS are important, use liberally. They're the only way to make content discoverable by search
3️⃣ Use alt-text for images/gifs for accessibility
4️⃣ Err towards content warnings - not just for obv triggering content; helps keep feeds uncluttered
A few tips for those who are new to the Fediverse and would like to preserve the culture of accessibility.
1) Put Hashtags at the end of posts. If you put them mid-post, screenreaders say "Hashtag" every time.
2) Put alt-text in all your images so those using screenreaders can get your jokes or a sense of your content.
3) Use Camel Case with hashtags; capitalize mutli-word hashtags.
