Belatedly showing off (the leftovers of) a Persimmon Upside-Down Cake I baked a few times last year. I never got any good photos of it whole so you'll have to take me at my word that it was very pretty on the table. Probably the tastiest thing I've made with persimmons too!

This iteration followed the recipe pretty much exactly. The only tweak was smearing some leftover edible glitter on top. Messy, as glitter often is, but glamorous.

Made a birthday cake for my partner a few weeks ago but I forgot to show it off! Chocolate with nutella ganache and icing. Flavors were well-received and the texture was perfect and *stayed* great for the brief window in which it survived as leftovers. The decorative gold sand was sort of an afterthought but I like how it comes off as kind of luxurious.

One of the things I like about being a DM is microdosing game development. Usually that entails narrative design and game mechanics, but for my current campaign (D&D 5e, cosmic roadtrip, sort-of-spelljammer but with homebrew astrophysical contrivances) I wanted strong visual aids. So I spent far too much time putting together a functional 3d map.

Dark chocolate lavender cake I threw together recently! Weird flavor combination but it's been a universal hit.
