@Judeet99 That happened to me a few years ago. I lost access to tons of books, music, and movies. Once you realize you don't actually own the digital media you pay for it doesn't hurt so bad.

@grrlscientist I was addicted to Amazon up until about four months ago. I knew I would go back to it if I still had access to Amazon because it is so convenient, so I deleted my Amazon account (they don't make it quick or easy).

I have basically been following the strategy in the image. I'm saving money and not purchasing as much useless crap and I have started to donate some of the money I'm saving to nonprofits.

One site I found to be a good replacement to Amazon for books has been https://bookshop.org You can select a local bookshop who will receive profits from your orders.

I really do miss 2-day shipping but that is something that I am willing to sacrifice because I want to do the right thing and not contribute to the problem.

Bookshop: Buy books online. Support local bookstores.

An online bookstore that financially supports local independent bookstores and gives back to the book community.

@ouij Totally understand! For just GOG and Epic, Heroic’s store integration is definitely a compelling advantage. It sounds like it fits your workflow perfectly. There's no need to over complicate things if you don't need the extra Lutris features.

@ouij Heroic is fantastic for Epic games. Lutris is better when you need more control over everything else – managing multiple game launchers, tweaking Wine configurations deeply, or dealing with older/more complex titles. It is incredibly powerful. I personally don't use Heroic because Lutris already handles GOG/Epic/Humble/Itch/Steam/Emulators/etc all together in one package.

I started using Boot.dev today (thank you HumbleBundle for the code). It is a fun way to learn coding. I got to level 6 and learned some basic concepts and did a chapter on variables in python. Neat stuff!
