Weare, Somerset

Superb carving on the choir stalls at St Gregory's church by the three Pinwill sisters, Mary, Ethel and Violet, to the naturalistic designs of architect Edmund H. Sedding, as part of a general restoration in 1905. Image taken during a recent first time visit, a thrilling experience.

@FediThing SCOTUS isn't exactly maintaining human rights or the constitution in the USA after all. Whether it's a written constitution or not, it depends on whether people honour it.
Are truths and facts infinitely flexible? Do they rely solely on what the stance of the individual is? Do truths and facts actually really exist if their existence is infinitely flexible? Does firmly believing in something make it a 'truth'? Are facts just uncomfortable propaganda?

Imagine this. You've secured a good job after tough competition. You work hard, but then you start deriding the company, it's products and it's bosses. You vote against changes the company wants to introduce. You continue to deride the company on social media/elsewhere. You are then SHOCKED and OUTRAGED when you lose your job. ahhahahahhahhahah!!!
ONS says employment is UP from 75% to 75.2% and wage increases are still well over inflation rate. Much better to check with ACTUAL source of info than to believe BBC/other. Lots of hysterical misinformation out this morning from people who should know better, but plainly don't or can't be arsed.
The fact that I can click on a scientific article link and hit a paywall in 2025–when the scientists were paid with public money, the research conducted in public institutions, and the cost of publication subsidized by public funds–is an abject failure of society.
