Todd Howard coveted Fallout and he has pretty much ruined it, IMO. Fallout 3 was only OK; Fallout 4 was so bad I never bothered finishing it. Fallout 76 is an actual atrocity.
I get that this generation of gamers got into the Fallout Universe with Fallout 3 (a Todd Howard Joint). But it just didn't have the same feel as the old Interplay games. New Vegas did--largely because the crew at Obsidian were made up of a lot of the crew from Black Isle
