i really wish platforms, tools, networks, technologies… would understand that they are successful because of their user base making a thing great by using it… not because their user base is dumb, that they are better than everyone else, and can do whatever they want on a whim until they have nothing left.

sometimes the disdain for people using a tool, or those in a certain industry, is so obvious for how a thing is just a meaningless cash cow that can be milked to death and then sold for parts.

Seen a bunch of games have a 'Our Other Games' section on their Steam store pages, that has capsules/links to their other titles.
Anyone know how to do this? Can't find anything in the Steamworks docs. :(

finished another secret area today. hidden in the mountains is a hillside with flower and a waterfall.
i have ONE more field to do and then the explore-able area of the open world is DONE.

Anyone got any good tips on getting fullscreen gifs? Currently just been making very small windows, using gifcam then running it through optimisation online. 😅
I see people with super lovely optimised 16:9 gifs and think surely there has to be a better way?

Hey game devs who have published on Steam! Lil help?!?
I've seen other games have promotions for their new upcoming games on their existing titles store page cross promoting. Wondering how one goes about this/if its limited time/or any other tips on cross promoting from existing games?
Bein small wanna try and generate wishlists any way we can, so any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Gotta say one of my favourite features on Mastodon is having animated gifs as profile pics! 🥰

If my chook ain't doin bad ass kickflips for you jump into your preferences and enable 'Autoplay animated gifs' under animations and accessibility. So goose!
