Anyone got any good tips on getting fullscreen gifs? Currently just been making very small windows, using gifcam then running it through optimisation online. 😅
I see people with super lovely optimised 16:9 gifs and think surely there has to be a better way?
@ragical I imagine there must be a way with some capturing tool like OBS to record a video, you can then use ffmpeg to make the gif from commandline
@aeriform this looks super useful, thanks will check it out. 🙂
@ragical Are you sure they're gifs and not secretly mp4 videos? Some websites display 'gif' for any short video. Gifs tend to be a lot larger though.
I use ShareX for quick videos. It can record as gif or mp4 from a selection on your screen.

@WispBart if only twitter hadn't dealt with the devil and continued allowed webm, still gets to me. . .

I'm doing a presskit, the examples I'm looking at are def gifs, though I've just realised some are near 20mb 😆 which makes the usability of them on social sites that require them redundant.
Gifs confuse me.

Will def check out sharex though!
