I see sfba.social and norcal.social but I’m thinking a unified California server would be cool! Or at the very least, a SoCal server should exist…

I was asked by a family member why it was taking so long to paste something large into a new Microsoft Word document on their computer, I sarcastically replied it was because it takes a while to upload it all to the copilot AI nonense first. And then I realized accidentally I might be right...I disabled copilot in Word and it went back to being instant again
So that's cool that Microsoft seems uploading everything you paste into a new Word doc to their servers now.
Can we maybe consider that this student might have been given a low grade because their paper was written at, like, a 7th grade level of vocabulary, structure, and depth?? #uspol
The University of Oklahoma has fired an instructor who was accused by a student of religious discrimination. The complaint from 20-year-old junior Samantha Fulnecky was over a failing grade on a psychology paper in which she cited the Bible and called promoting a belief in multiple genders “demonic.” The university said Monday that its investigation found that the graduate teaching assistant had been arbitrary in giving Fulnecky zero points on the assignment. The attorney for instructor Mel Curth said Tuesday in a statement that Curth denies being arbitrary. Fulnecky's grade became a flashpoint in the ongoing debate over academic freedom on college campuses and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
