Someone was coerced into installing Google Photos thinking that it was required to see a shared album (reasonable).

Then inadvertently pressed allow on the photos permission prompt (very common for non-technical people I think)

Google then uploaded 250GB of photos and video to their Google Photos account, which now is holding gmail hostage because they are out of storage.

A record this week, 4 claims my pics are AI; one photo + three pieces of art from ~2010s.

AI isn't fucking up art, it's fucking up people's perception of what art or creativity can be or what things not phone camera pics can be.

Modern phone camera shots are more AI than my photoshopping btw.

The bit I don't get about AI art is that what I chase after in my own work is the *doing*.

Finding a -flow- where I can kind of see a thing in my head, start working towards it, and it changes continuously as I tell myself a narrative behind what I'm making.

AI art is like instead of going out for an evening with friends, talking, and a great meal followed by dessert then lazing about in a park swearing at bats - you press a button and suddenly you're so full you could burst and have rabies.
