Die Sättigung der Aufnahme wurde verstärkt, um die Farben des Geländes hervorzuheben. Hochländer und jüngere Krater bestehen aus hellem Anorthosit der Mondkruste. Die erstarrte Lava der Mare weist in den bläulichen Bereichen hohe Anteile von Titan und Eisen auf, während diese in den braunroten Gegenden seltener sind.

Jupiter can be seen in the top right-hand corner. More interesting is the ‘tail’. It was visible for about 15 minutes.
