My fermenting hot peppers with sichuan peppercorns didn’t grow mold! I decided not to tempt fate any longer by letting them sit at room temperature anymore, so I ground the entire batch up into hot sauce. It seems really mild at first, but a fiery heat grows in the aftertaste and lingers quite a while.

Why the “Fat Lady” Sings

Being thin has a negative effect on various qualities of the voice. A super talented and very pretty colleague once told me she wanted to improve her support, and was on a diet to GAIN weight! Her voice teacher called it “the power of breakfast.”

I loved that and often quote it to singers who ask me for advice to improve their singing. I tell them not to be guided by beauty standards on social media, but to always focus on their instrument first!

Didn't think it would work - especially the aquavit or herbsaint w 🍍juice but wow was I surprised! Tried tiny sip each separately, went with both!

Mix of #Jamaican & (only recently opened 😉) #Indian rums, bit of cinnamon syrup for a touch of spice
Pineapple juice (from a can - nod to history)
Aquavit + herbsaint float (instead of galliano)

I have more or less ignored my garden for the last month or so because life got in the way. I went outside to look at the weed jungle, and behold! I have my first chiltepin and serrano peppers coming along nicely!
