Through my experiences these past few months, I’m discovering a true gap in LGBTQ culture.

We don’t have many death stories where the couple was legally married and what happened after.

Our death stories are rooted in the tragedies of HIV/Aids or the injustices of marriage discrimination.

We need stories, cultural, rituals about asserting our rights, about claiming our power, and ensuring institutions treat ALL surviving spouses with compassion and love.

I recently visited The Villages, FL, where many residents use golf carts to get around town.

Golf carts are an affordable, climate-friendly, and fun way to travel -- and an efficient way too. The car on the left takes up as much parking space as the four golf carts on the right.
