We had a discussion in matrix (kicked off by @fizzo) if we could make telegram-desktop's notification adhere to #phosh's full/quiet/silent profile. Turns out (https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/issues/28895) that the app detects the notifications servers sound capability already so with https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Phosh/phosh/-/merge_requests/1618 and the corresponding #feedbackd MR this should work.

As I'm not a #telegram user, testing feedback would be welcome.

I was able to reduce the idle power consumption of the AOOSTAR R1 from 8.4W to 5W by enabling ASPM at BIOS level.
But wait, there is no such option in the stock BIOS 🤔
That’s why I ported #coreboot to the board, and now I can enable ASPM 😎.
The port is almost ready, I just need to make the power button work (I currently reconnect the power plug and use the auto turn-on feature)

I repurposed my old Mi A1 smartphone as a Linux-based audio player!
I 3D-printed the brackets to attach the Fiio Q1 mark II DAC+AMP and enabled the USB sound card drivers in the kernel (https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/issues/2531).
Thanks to #Amberol and #postmarketOS for making this possible! 😊

Now that the SA868 can be used for more interesting applications, I am slowly designing a new OpenRTX target that is a complete board replacement for these toy pink cat radios from AliExpress. #electronics #hamradio #m17 #dmr

A physically-unmodified NiceRF SA868 radio module now successfully transmits and receives the M17 digital mode using OpenRTX's driver for MD-UV380, with minor changes. The same approach may work for other modes such as P25 or DMR. #amateurfunk #hamradio #openrtx #m17
