Tip: if your phone doesn't have a notification LED, it is broken or not yet supported by the kernel you can use the camera flash 📸 :

New year, new release candidate!

We've tagged #Phosh 0.52~rc1 together with #feedbackd 0.8.8, gmobile #0.6.0 and #pfs 0.0.6 . pfs now ships a simple example file selector app, excuse the logo but we were thinking about a mobile file cabinet:

Happy 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣ everyone!

@phosh #wireplumber 0.5.13 containing the necessary changes was released a couple of days ago 🙏 and is already in #Debian 🙏 so I built #feedbackd with `DEB_BUILD_PROFILES=pkg.feedbackd.media-roles`, installed the result and from a quick test is seems to be working nicely.

The next #pipewire release will fix a bug regarding volume restore with media roles and hopfully we can then looking into turning this on by default in #phosh afterwards.

#feedbackd now ships a media role configuration to separate audio volumes but it is not installed by default yet as this will need #wireplumber 0.5.13 to work properly. You can try it out by building feedbackd with the -Dmedia-roles=true option. Feedback appreciated (pun intended 🙃).

feedbackd-device-themes improves support for the Google Pixel 3A XL
and gmobile adds support for the #Fairphone 6.

With more mobile distros shipping a #feedbackd enabled alarm clock we can show the UI to make the alarm sound configurable with a bit of heuristic (to make sure it's not configurable when not supported):
