@cobalt , you should really look into an evaporative cooler for your pool. Phoenix is the PERFECT place for one. Right now, NWS shows the temperature in Phoenix at 111 degrees, but with 8% humidity. This yields a wet-bulb temperature of about 67 degrees, meaning that an evaporative cooler would theoretically cool the water to about 75 degrees.
I installed one on our pool here in the Dallas area and it keeps our pool at 85 degrees, even with Dallas humidity.
