vulpMy biggest tip for new fedi users is that when people say there's no recommendation algorithm here, they mean it. You really have to work to find things you enjoy, your timeline's not gonna curate itself. Follow lots of people to grow your network and find new people through their boosted posts. Then feel free to unfollow or even block anything you don't vibe with. This is your online space and you can do whatever you want with it.

CodepopeSo, #migration is actually built into Mastodon now. Go to your destination account, profile - add an alias pointing to your source account. Then go to the source account and you'll find a migration/redirect option. Enter the destination account and your source account password and that should be it. Your old account will be redirected, your followers will be moved over and more. What with that and adding some verification juice, I'm going to live on mastodon.online for now.
