I reviewed Valve's Steam Controller. It's fully-featured, comfortable (albeit a bit heavy), and lasts long on a charge. If you're all in on the Steam Deck, you'll feel right at home.
But without a driver, the controller, which has many customization options, is effectively locked to Steam. If you do all of your gaming there, that's not a problem. If you play some games in other launchers, that means running them through Steam, or trying to fiddle with desktop controls.
