BREAKING: #SCOTUS keeps Biden student loan forgiveness plan on hold, sets arguments in case for February 2023.

DOJ had asked for the lower-court order halting the program to be lifted, but, alternatively, asked for SCOTUS to take the case to be heard this term. The court chose the latter.

At the same time, Biden admin extended the loan repayment pause through June. Hearing the case in February means that a final #SCOTUS decision will be expected by late June.
