Today's ruling of the UK Supreme Court sets a dangerous and nonsensical precedent for all women in the UK and in the world.

Here's @toutesdesfemmes's full statement in English: https://asso.lgbt/@toutesdesfemmes/114347166620370401

@CoyoteTraveller that last one in the list has historically made me angy unless i explicitly asked, but all others of these are deffo what works for me (and what i do for others) as a board certified tism creature. mood eternal.
@CoyoteTraveller I love this but I worry about people doing the final one without request, because it can lead to conflict if the person has not explicitly requested you to solve their issue. I would have liked better, "how can I support you" because the answer is often just, "listen".

@domo

Right. Hence the neurodivergence. It's a kind of love language that comes across wrong or invasive for many people.

@CoyoteTraveller

@ralfmaximus Your love language should be tailored to the person you love's needs. "How can I support you?" is something you should be familiar with saying to someone you love, because it puts them first. They may very well say "help me research this thing" or "do you have advice?", but if someone is venting, and they haven't asked for a solution, you should always ask first, because it can seem dismissive or fall into something like mansplaining because it makes the assumption that this person has not done the research for their own problems in the first place.

I agree, it's easy to fall into wanting to fix people's problems when you just want to help your loved ones, but you can be nuerodivergent and considerate to another neurodivergent person's needs at a given time.

@domo
I know this Problem (because I always did that....) someday my brain was like... "Wait does he wanna rant or does he need options?"

Since then I always ask that and it helps a lot in my friendships :3

@CoyoteTraveller

@CoyoteTraveller That is so incredibly spot on!
@CoyoteTraveller I would definitely fav as a neurodivergent person but the last one sounds like unsolicited advice to me. Which is something quite annoying that many marginalized people receive on a daily basis.
@CoyoteTraveller Seems fairly accurate to me.
@CoyoteTraveller i wish NT people understood it
@CoyoteTraveller
I think this is not just neurodivergent. Or I am neurodivergent, too
@CoyoteTraveller @LegoPink Fediverse moment in 3… 2…
@CoyoteTraveller I relate the most to the last one, @echedellelr knows

@CoyoteTraveller
to be honest: saying "I love You" is somewhat brutal
@CoyoteTraveller
Sharing unstructured time is such a big deal for me.
@CoyoteTraveller Oh, wow. Yeah. Me, my wife, my son, most of the friends I've ever had... One or more of these.
@CoyoteTraveller first and second point
@CoyoteTraveller My husband read this and said: „Who ever wrote this seems to know you very well.“
