I solved my first #osint challenge yesterday, sort of by accident 😁 my gf wanted to know where one of her favourite #youtube vloggers lives, so I gave it a shot. After some digging, I found some #dji drone images on their blog. Those turned out to be the original files including all the metadata 🤑. It was a bit too easy but so much fun!
I started contributing to #OpenStreetMap during a recent vacation trip. Using the #streetcomplete app is a very fun way to explore your surroundings 🤗
The EU is introducing an energy label for phones, together with mandatory requirements for phones sold in the EU;
- 5 years of software updates (AFTER they stop selling the device in the EU)
- providing important hardware parts (during sale and for 7 years after), including free software (if needed), to every repair shop, within 5-10 business days
- batteries have to make 800 charging cycles and still be above 80% original capacity
And on top of that, phones and tablets need this energy label (which also includes a fall damage durability and repairability score), and abide by the above requirements, from 20 June 2025.

Die dringend notwendige Ansprache, die leider heute in keinem deutschen Sender ausgestrahlt werden wird:
„Liebe Mitbürgerinnen, liebe Mitbürger,
möglicherweise haben Sie es den Nachrichten entnommen: Die USA erheben derzeit massive Zölle im Handel mit praktisch der gesamten Welt. Für unsere exportorientierte Wirtschaft ist das extrem schädlich. Laut US-Präsident Trump kann unser Land diese Zölle nur dadurch abwenden, dass wir in noch viel höherem Maß als bisher Energie aus den USA importieren.
Das stellt faktisch eine Erpressung dar, der ein souveräner Staat nicht nachgeben sollte. Mehr noch: Es zeigt uns deutlich, dass unsere bisherige Abhängigkeit von fossilen Energieträgern uns überhaupt erst erpressbar gemacht hat. Neben den ökologischen Problemen, die Kohle und Öl, Erdgas und Atomkraft mit sich bringen, machen sie uns auch unnötig abhängig von autokratischen Regimes, auf deren Wohlwollen bei der Lieferung der entsprechenden Rohstoffe wir angewiesen sind.
Als Ihr künftiger Bundeskanzler sehe ich es als meine Pflicht an, mein Land, unser Land, aus diesen Abhängigkeiten zu befreien. Eine Kernaufgabe meiner Regierung wird es daher sein, den Umbau auf dezentrale erneuerbare Energien und vor allem auch den Ausbau von treibhausgasneutraler Speichertechnik voranzutreiben und deutlich zu beschleunigen.“
