I need to play more #COIN games. I'd really love to make a game about the illegal #tobacco and #vape trade in #Australia (Ed: really #Melbourne), and call it American Candy, but I don't have enough experience to do it yet.
I'm not 100% confident who the sides should be. 1 player government, all the rest tobacco smuggling/coercing/retailing gangs?
It's an interesting and disturbing history. We've had decreasing access to tobacco, increasing excise, the eventual banning of vapes - and now tobaconists who sell exciseless cigarettes under the tables, tobaconists who keep being burned down by the tobacco smuggling rings that are competing with that stores illegal supplier in a protection like racket, stores with surprising amounts of security labeled American Candy that the candy is overpriced and covered in dust, but there's vapes and tobacco under the desk, and people who go to both, and cops who ignore both. Heck - those stores often reopen days after being raided.
There's something here, I know it.
