Krita 5.3.0 Released!

Today is the simultaneous release of Krita 5.3.0 and Krita 6.0.0! Depending which version of Qt and KDE Frameworks you build, the same source will result in one of the other. Both versions are almost functionally identical, with 6.0.0 having more Wayland functionality.

I realised that my zombie rendering code gives me camera rotation for (almost) free. Not sure if that is going to work for the gameplay, but I think it looks awesome. #thatstoomanyzombies #gamedev #indiedev #solodev #godot #godotengine

Revised Steam Survey For December 2025 Puts Linux Gaming Marketshare At 3.58%

Back on the 1st Valve published the Steam Survey results for December 2025 and they put the Linux gaming marketshare at 3.19%, a 0.01% dip from November. But now the December results have been revised with a nice bump to the Linux marketshare...

Recent discussion about the perils of doors in gamedev reminded me of a bug caused by a door in a game you may have heard of called "Half Life 2". Are you sitting comfortably? Then I shall begin.
We're working on bringing our https://solidean.com/ mesh Booleans to Godot! It's already quite smooth, though we might want to help the physics engine a bit at some point... The current bottleneck is actually importing the geometry into the physics engine and rebuilding the render mesh, not the Boolean :D #geometry #gamedev #godot #godotengine
