Finding my comic book in a bookstore, let alone in another country, is both surprising and humbling. It's a small joy I was grateful for during my trip to the Raptus comic festival in Bergen, Norway.
I just posted more about it on my blog (photos, a watercolor and fan-arts I received) : https://www.davidrevoy.com/article1044/photos-of-raptus-comic-convention-2024-in-bergen
Before I was a mountain biker, or a trail runner, or a skier, or a mountaineer, or a caver... even before I was a rock climber, I was a backpacker.
This is a story about rediscovering that fact.
Day 58 (31.8.): On towards Kolåsen
After a restful night in a hut at the cozy camp ground in Rötviken, we started into our ninth leg with the heaviest backpacks yet. There will be no store at the end of the leg, so we need to carry some additional supplies for the next nearly two weeks. Besides, the colder weather means all four of us need more food overall. We mostly hiked on roads today. From tomorrow on, we're back to pathless land. After leaving the road in the late afternoon, we quickly found a soft, mossy, but mostly dry camping spot near a small lake.
