Random thought...approximately how much per mile/km do you spend on your shoes?
This is sort of like the total cost of ownership of a car, but a much easier to factor thing. I think I need to start tracking this, as I tend to be a bargain shopper for running shoes, and knowing what is getting my $'s worth out of them might be useful info.
It does assume I track my miles consistently, and I am pretty good at doing that.

Commute run home from office. With my aging eyes, dodging the commuters (with heads down looking at smartphones) by zigzagging in the dark is more challenging than I‘d like!
It’s hard to get any rhythm on a rush hour urban run (in the dark), but it’s always a great way to start or end the day. I feel refreshed and ready to eat!
