For the last December photo trip I drove an hour east of Stockton to photograph an old school house. This time I drove a bit further east , more into the hills. The plan was to arrive around sunrise so I was driving in the dark and dense fog most of the way. It was a curvy narrow road along a gorge - very unusual terrain coming out of the Central Valley.

This is #horseshoebay the north side of the #goldengatebridge in the #sanfranciscobay. This is the future HQ site of #startrek #starfleet. Why locate StarFleet here? If the #coastguard evolves into Starfleet, then this Coast Guard installation turns into StarFleet HQ. Foreshadowing? I think not.
