Sun was shining today, so went out for a few hours. Stopped at a country park for a walk and then onto a place for lunch.

The country park is still under threat from utter wanker developers who bought the land and tried to force through plans for a 'holiday park'

The fight back by the communities in the area has held them at bay for 16yrs.

But each time they lose one fight, the redraw their plans and resubmit them... and each 'new' plan is worse than the previous one.

The current plan has expanded the whole site and would mean the entire country park is gone. previously they tried to say they would leave 75 acres for public access... Now they're trying to say they'll plant trees at a site nearby for a new park... this land is a former industrial site and is contaminated land.

The country park is also a protected red squirrel woodland... and Anglesey is one of the last places in the UK where not only are they protected, but any sightings of grey squirrels are dealt with.

So the fight continues to protect a lovely area on the coast and keep it as a country park and not an eyesore so some rich wanker can get richer by destroying the environment they don't live in... and taking away a place from people who have been able to enjoy it for decades.

I really fucking hate rich wankers and arrogant developers.

In the next day or so I need to force myself to read Yet Another Stupid Fucking Orbital Data Center filing, because I have to write a comment to the FCC so that it's on file that astronomers hate it.

A blanket ban on social media for under-16s is the wrong choice. It's not working in Australia, and it won't work in the UK.

Social media harms don't magically stop affecting people as they get older. Bans are also rarely difficult to circumvent. So by failing to ask the social media companies to bear any cost - cleaning up their act, making them legally responsible for content they actively recommend and promote through their content algorithms - Starmer has failed to tackle the problem.
